Here are some happy photos that were taken on a few recent days while I was in California visiting my precious daughter:
Two women and two dogs, conquering the wilderness
Don't we humans think that we are so funny when we spit in the face of laws? And we're willing to mess up our own nests in order to do so.
This was along the road as we left the wilderness.
Me and my grandpuppies
I needed to dump out some water, so my daughter suggested that I pour it into one of the doggie water bowls. When I went to pour the water into a dog bowl in the television room, a small face was looking up at me. I certainly wasn't expecting that! How a little frog got in some door and made his way through multiple rooms to get to the bowl will forever remain a mystery.
Wow, a frog in your house in the dog bowl? How awesome is that!
ReplyDeleteIt was at my daughter's house in California, so it's teeny tiny bit less amazing than if it were to happen here in Colorado. Still... It was truly awesome.
ReplyDeleteAh .... I guess everyone has a pool in California!
ReplyDeleteYou and your daughter look so lovely xxx
Great Happy Photos! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dancing.
ReplyDeleteI had to fly into Los Angeles and take another flight from there to where my daughter lives. As the plane was nearing L.A., I looked down and saw a large neighborhood where, indeed, every house had a pool. I wondered why, with water such a valuable resource, they could just have a few pools to share.
Where my daughter lives, pools the size the one the frog is in are the norm, I think.
I meant to say that I wondered why they COULDN'T just have a few pools to share...
DeleteYep .... I've looked down and seen all those pools near LA - it's not that they live that far from the sea!
DeleteThe frog, on the other hand, would not adjust to the salt water, so he/she was doing the right thing by sharing the dog's bowl.
Thanks for the inspiration, G.G.
ReplyDeleteThat's your daughter? No way! You look like sisters. Love the frog photo! That would have startled me though.
ReplyDeleteFoam,
ReplyDeleteShe sure is! We used to be told a lot of times that we look like sisters. Lately, we don't hear that from anyone who sees us close up. I guess we do still sorta look like sisters in photos taken from afar.
I love cameras as long as I'm the photographer or as long as they are a good 20 feet from me! ;-)
Yeah, that little bug-eyed face looking up out of the dog bowl got my heart rate racing!
